Traveler Profiles are automatically created when the traveler has responded to the Opt-in invitation, after we receive their trip information to our system.
The traveler email should be provided as a contact point in your Trip Import API payload or in the PNR placed on queue to our system. This is to ensure the traveler email address matches exactly with what is provided in the Trip.
When we receive a trip of theirs for the first time with the traveler email and you have the Opt-in functionality turned on, our system will send an Opt-in invitation to the traveler prompting them to register for traveler alerts or opt out of alerting going forward. Every time we receive a new trip for that traveler, our system will continue to send an Opt-in invitation until the traveler has responded to it.
If the traveler has chosen to opt-in to receive alerting, they will then have the chance to create a Traveler Profile with their messaging preferences. Once their profile is created, you can look up their Traveler Profile in the Trip Center tool.
Once the traveler is registered to receive alerting, they can login to their profile here:

Please note: Due to the way our system works, the traveler must respond to the Opt-in invitation themselves. Please do not click on the customized Registration link in their Opt-in invitation on their behalf.
How do I know if I have the Opt-In functionality turned on or off on my account?
If the Opt-in functionality is enabled as an account default, it will be shown under your Account Settings tab > Manage Trip Groups > click Search. The top result will show an "Account Default". Click on it to view your account's default alert settings.

If the toggle for "Traveler Trip Alert Enabled" is on this means the Opt-in functionality is turned on.
If the Trip Group is using it's own customized settings, the Opt-in functionality can be viewed under the individual Trip Group name or Customer ID. Please search for that Trip Group Name or Customer ID to view its current alert settings.
