A Virtual Airline is a company which appears to trade as an airline i.e. has a website, sells tickets, an airline brand but will outsource nearly all aspects of the flight operation to another carrier utilizing their AOC (Air Operator Certificate).
Some airlines also operate as a global consolidation and distribution service connecting airlines with a similar business model to all major Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) worldwide.
The flight schedules for these types of airlines are not likely to show up in our regularly published schedule data.
