MCT stands for Minimum Connect Time. It is the amount of transfer time, agreed in advance between airlines and airport authorities, that is considered sufficient for a passenger to make a connection between an arriving flight and a departing flight.
We use a percentage of the published MCT to alert an estimated connection time for any connection on the trip that falls below that percentage. For example, with a 60 minute MCT, an alert is sent if the connection time falls below 25% of the MCT or 15 minutes.
The MCT settings are provided in the published schedules we receive from the airline and cannot be changed on an account level. Please submit a help desk ticket so that we can review your current alert settings. We may be able to make a recommendation to adjust your alert settings to manage travel disruptions.
