U.S. DOT O&D Summary Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Summary report shows details for each unique itinerary with the specified origin and destination airport that has a share of the market equal to or greater than the share specified. The results show the entire itinerary, including up to two connection points, and the marketing and operating airlines for each leg. Also shown are the number of directional passengers, the share percentage of the entire market represented by this total and the average gross fare and net fare paid.
When using this report specify the airports and the time frame to display industry traffic levels by origin and destination. The report can show you itinerary data for just one quarter, averaged over four quarters, a comparison of two quarters, or a time series of multiple quarters. It can also show you either directional or non-directional averages. If you are examining an origin/destination combination with an overwhelming number of possible itineraries, then you can filter out the less-traveled itineraries by selecting a minimum cutoff percentage from the "Only show details" pull-down. Data for all of the miscellaneous less-traveled itineraries is aggregated together into the "OTHER" connection point row.
U.S. DOT O&D Monthly Traffic Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Monthly Traffic report shows details for each unique itinerary with the specified origin and destination airport that has a share of the market equal to or greater than the share specified. The results show the entire itinerary, including up to two connection points, and the marketing and operating airlines for each leg. Also shown are the number of directional passengers, the share percentage of the entire market represented by this total and the average gross fare and net fare paid.
When using this reportspecify the airports and the time frame to display industry traffic levels by origin and destination. The report can show you itinerary data for just one month, averaged over one year, a comparison of two months across or down, or a time series of multiple months across or down.
U.S DOT O&D Segment Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Segment report gives insight into how a particular flight segment is utilized to connect various origin and destination endpoints. The results show all of the airline's itineraries which flow over the given segment one-way, from the segment origin to the segment destination(s). Note that the given segment may comprise the entire itinerary (if there are no connection points) or it may represent either the first, second, or third leg of the itinerary. The report gives the number of directional passengers and the relative share of each of those itineraries as a percent of the total number of passengers the carrier flies from the segment origin to the segment destination(s) each day. Average gross fare, net fare, and daily total Revenue are also given.
When using this report specify the airline, segment origin airport, segment destination airport, country, or region, the airline, and the time frame to display the mix of traffic by origin and destination flowing over the specified segment(s). The report can show you data for just one quarter, or averaged over four quarters. Be sure to also specify whether the carrier under examination is the Marketing Airline or the Operating Airline. If you are examining a segment or segments which are used by an overwhelming number of itineraries, then you can filter out the less-traveled itineraries by selecting a minimum cutoff percentage from the "Only show details" menu. Data for all of the miscellaneous less-traveled itineraries is aggregated together into the "OTHER" row of the O&D Segment report.
U.S. DOT O&D Airport Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Airport report shows details about desired markets for one to five specified airports and a time frame. The output can either show all possible markets or can be restricted to markets within a chosen country or region. The results show for each distinct market, airport, and airline combination the distance in miles (or kilometers), the number of directional or non-directional passengers, the average gross fare and net fare paid, the total revenue for the market and airline, the yield (total revenue per passenger per mile), the number of non-stop departures per day or quarter, and the number of total seats per day or quarter.
When using this reportspecify the desired airport(s), destination country or region, and quarter and year to see data for the relevant markets for that time frame. The report can show you market data for just one quarter or averaged over four quarters and either directional or non-directional averages. You can aggregate the report's output for all airlines in each distinct market by using the "Sum all airlines?" query option. Or you can aggregate the report's output for all specified origins by using the "Sum all origins?" query option.
U.S. DOT O&D Fare Bands Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Fare Bands report breaks fare data down into percentile bands for the top O&D Markets available from the U.S. DOT each quarter. The fares for each O&D are sorted from the lowest to the highest, and this sort is divided into the number of bands specified by the user, with a default of 10. Each of the fare bands represents the average fare for the total passengers in that fare band. Adjacent fare bands may have the same fare value many passengers paid the same fare for the route. Also, passengers flying for free are included among the fare data, so some of the lower fare bands may have 0 as their average fare value. For the report dates, you may use the Relative Dates feature to get results for a time period relative to the current month. When running the report, you may choose to view the results immediately, push the execution of the report to the background, of schedule the report to run on a specific time period interval of your choice.
When using this report specify the desired airlines, origin codes, country, or region, destination codes, country, or region, and quarter and year to display fare bands between specified locations for that time frame. The report can show you fare bands in either directional or non-directional modes for just one quarter, for multiple quarters in time series, or summed over multiple quarters. You may also filter the output by specifying a desired stage length or a minimum number of passengers per day.
U.S. DOT O&D Rankings Report:
The U.S. DOT O&D Rankings report shows details for the most heavily trafficked O&D markets or airports for the specified time period. The results show the number of non-directional passengers, the average net and gross fares paid, the total revenue, and the route/airport's overall rank for the quarter according to both passenger totals and total revenue.
When using this report specify the desired quarter and year to see data for the Rankings for that time frame. Specify which ranking method to sort the output by: either passenger total rank or total revenue rank. Use the Max. rows/page field to limit how many rows are displayed per page. The fewer rows displayed, the quicker the response will be.
U.S. DOT O&D Dynamic Table +:
The U.S. DOT O&D Dynamic Table report is useful when you want to analyze related totals over a very large amount of published U.S. Department of Transportation O&D data. The U.S. DOT O&D Dynamic Table report lets you customize how you combine and compare large amounts of O&D data for a carrier, airport, and/or regions.
When using this report choose the rows, columns, and data you would like to see, in the order you want them from the Data, Row, and Column menus. To remove a field, simply click on its box in the preview table. You must choose at least one Data field, and then one Row or Column field. After choosing the format for the Dynamic Table, use the Page fields to apply general filters to all of the data, and to specify a target quarter and year.
Page fields are used if you would like to restrict the Dynamic Table to a specific subset of data, such as a particular airline, airport, or route. To see a Dynamic Table for all airlines and all routes, leave the airline code, origin code, and destination code fields blank, with both region menus set to "ALL". Use the "Show results for" field to aggregate data for just one quarter or for an entire year. Specify whether you wish to see the data summarized non-directionally or directionally in the "Gather results which are" field.
