When comparing our numbers vs airline reported figures from earnings reports/traffic statistics its important to note that airlines typically report “actuals” (flown) data so there’s variance +/-5% depending on irregular operations. We would never expect our numbers to match exactly but we should come close.
Here's an example of Diio data vs IAG's statistics (2018 and 2017 ASKs). The variance seems in-line with what we'd expect and it would appear that IAG reports actuals vs scheduled data.
