1) Evaluation Plan
The Evaluation plan is a free plan intended for developers who are evaluating the Flex APIs and is available only for new accounts. You are allowed up to 100 free flights returned from the Historical Flight Status API on the Evaluation Plan. Large airports have hundreds of daily flights. We suggest you limit your testing of Historical Flight Status by Airport API to a small airport with a one-hour maximum time window. Otherwise you may hit quickly hit the 100 free flights returned limit with just a few queries. Customers are expected to upgrade to a paid plan before launching their product using the Historical Flight Status API, or when they have exceeded the Evaluation allowance.

2) Contract Plan
We charge by historical flights returned. If you are using the Historical Flight Status by Flight API, then one query may return more than one flight and we will charge you for each historical flight returned (examples: repeated daily commuter hub and spoke flights, irregular operations, multiple legs across the country with the same flight number, etc.). If you are using the Historical Flight Status by Airport API, then one query may return hundreds of flights and we will charge you for each historical flight returned (example: Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) has over a thousand daily flights). Please also note that the Historical Flight Status API will do fuzzy matching around the midnight hour (example: 11:45 PM flight delayed past midnight may match if you search for the next calendar day flights departing in the wee hours). The price is lower if you choose to retrieve the final historical flight status. We charge a higher rate if you want to include the change history for the flight (all the status updates including the time/date stamps).
For the following APIs:
Historical Airport Status (departures
Historical Airport Status (arrivals)
Historical Route Status by departure date
Historical Route Status by arrival date
You may optionally restrict the maximum number of unique flights to return status for using the parameter value maxFlights. This is used to restrict output size of the API results.
