You must register a Single or Multi-Flight Rule with the deliverTo destination set to the URL of an HTTP/HTTPS service that accepts POST data.
For Single Flight Rule testing and evaluation purposes (no production use, please), we can also deliver alert data via email if the URL is of the form smtp://username@domain.com. To do so, please send yourself simulated alerts to your callback URL using the "Test your alert services with a simulated alert" tool on this page: https://developer.cirium.com/apis/flightstats-apis/flight-alerts
This service was created to help you create and test your Single Flight Rule alert webservices, where Cirium will send alert messages. When you invoke this service, Cirium will send a simulated alert - a fake event for a fake flight - to your URL.
Please note: There currently is no support for SMTP if you are registering a Single Flight Rule or a Multi-Flight Rule in production -
