For a maintenance-adjusted valuation of an engine, we usually use the information found on LLP disc
sheets provided by engine manufacturers and combine this with some information of our own. We
consider the following parameters:
• Time since shop visit/performance restoration.
• First run or mature engine – first-run engines command a premium over mature engines and
have longer overhaul intervals.
• Hours-to-cycle ratio – impacts time on wing, lower ratio will be harsher on the engine.
• Operator/environment harshness – impacts time on wing.
• LLP stack – we adjust for the cycles remaining on each part, and we consider any limiters that
might drive an engine into the shop.
